How to use this documentation

Preface

DINGO-Stack's Online Help is one of 3 Go-IoT product user manuals. The other two are:

  • Go-IoT Cloud Online Help
  • DINGO Hardware Online Help

This documentation consist of both online HTML5 documentation as well as some PDF files, available online.
This documentation can be viewed from desktop browser, tablet or mobile phone.

If you are totally new to DINGO-Stack it is strongly recommenced that you go through the guided tour in the "Get started" section.
Also you can watch the "Get Started Video" which follows the same steps described in the guided tour.

If you only need reference help, entering the DINGO-Manager section is probably the way to go, unless you need information about files used for configuring the DINGO-Stack, then enter the "Files" section.

The main page

The main page of this documentation is divided into 5 main sections, whereof the first one is of most importance; the main-menu, in the right upper corner.

Click any of the below drop-down links for details.

From this menu all the documentation-web pages for reading are accessible.
For mobile devices (narrow browsers) this menu is shown as in the top-right corner.
Note! Not only end-menu-items are linked to pages, but also the sub-menu-items. For example clicking (mouse down, mouse up) on menu item Get started in the main-menu will forward you to the first page of the guided tour.

The search bar is used for searching for what ever word or phrases wanted.

This is a slide bare with some clickable quick lunch icons. The icons are scrollable from the arrows on left and right side.

This section contains links to all PDFs documentation related to DINGO-Stack. There are 6 direct links to the most read PDFs but by pressing the More PDFs button you will be forwarded to a link containing all PDFs related to DINGO-Stack and even more.

This section contains links to videos related to DINGO-Stack.

Sub-pages

Sub-pages are entered by selecting any menu item or sub-menu-item .

This is the same search-bar as on the main-page. The search bar is used for searching for what ever word or phrases wanted.

This is the same main-menu as on the main page (see item nr. 1 for Main-page abouve).

The location line shows you where you are located in the menu hierarchy.
Note that you can click individual links in the location line to go back in the hierarchy.

Press this button to print the page.

Press this button to expand all drop-down texts on the page. See item 7. below.

The sub-menu shows all sibling menu items of the page from the main-menu (see 2. above).
The menu-item for the current location is highlighted (bold).
Note! This menu is not visible on "narrow" devices like mobiles. The main-menu has to be used instead.

Drop-down texts are widely used in this documentation to make it more simple and gain less text on page. Each drop-down line can be clicked to display it's details below.
You can also click the Expand button to expand (see 5. above).

Most images are shown in miniature size in the documentation. However by clicking such a miniature image it will popup in full size.
Note! To miniaturize the image again, click it again.

On many pages there is "Next step" links linking to recommended "next" reading. Those links are always at the bottom of the page.
