Activate second Ethernet port
The activation of the second Ethernet port must be done from a SSH terminal. We recommend using Putty (https://www.putty.org/).
Connect to the DINGO device via SSH terminal and follow these instructions:
- sudo dingo-config
-
Go to "3 Network setup"
-
Then go to "10 Activate Ethernet 2 port"
- Then reboot to take effect: sudo reboot
When the DINGO device has been rebooted, run this command: ifconfig , to ensure that the second Ethernet port has been activated. The second Ethernet port is labled eth1.
eth1 is by default on DHCP. If eth1 should be configured to a static IP address, then connect to the DINGO device via DINGO-Manager and do the necessary configurations here.
If it is desired to deactivate the second Ethernet port, then follow the dingo-config instructions above and choose "11 Deactivate Ethernet 2 port" from the network setup menu.
